Continuous Stills & JPEG Quality

Check out our tutorial on Continuous Stills with the Rayfin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dynSdTGM2Ec&list=PLAWw3o4FUn2GOlihwZZPUPV9BscWgBicG&index=6

Directory: Enter the directory where the continuous stills are stored. Tags can be used in this directory. Continuous stills record with auto naming ${yyyy}-${MM}-${dd} - ${hh}${mm}${ss}.${ff}

Image Format: If set to Jpeg, adjust the quality to change the compression. (An image at 100% quality has (almost) no loss, and 1% quality is very compressed).

Continuous Rate (Stills/Sec): Set the number of stills to be taken per second.

Taking Continuous Stills:

  • Click and hold the take still button on the main screen. The button will start turning green and when ready, will appear as a green button and begin taking stills. To stop, click the button again.

The camera can not take Still Images while recording 4K video. Still and Continuous stills can be taken while recording in HD but not while recording in 4K.

  • While continuous is running, changing to lamp disables the strobe, and enabling strobe disables the lamp.

Jpeg Quality: To reach the desired max continuous rate (Hz), adjust the image compression.

SubC is currently working on increasing the max continuous stills/minute rate.
