Serial Communication

To set up serial communication, configure your Aux port as a Serial Controller. This can be done by first connecting the camera over Ethernet on your bench setup. A Rayfin Aux Serial Controller defaults to 115200 baud.

To connect to serial control from the control software: 

• Under ComPort, choose the option Disconnect/Refresh from the dropdown menu

• Select your ComPort from the list

• Select your Baud Rate from the dropdown menu

If the connection is not working, the selected baud rate may be incorrect or the Rx and Tx pins may be reversed in your cable.

Some functionality is not possible over serial connection, such as real time media review, and image thumbnails.
