What's New in Rayfin v4.3 Autonomous & Hibernation

SubC Rayfin Visual Script Builder
We created Rayfin Script Builder that uses a visual block object style method of assembling Rayfin v4 API scripts.
Rayfin Visual Script Builder can be used to create RSL (Rayfin Scripting Language) v4 scripts that are saved to and run on Rayfin cameras.
See SubC Rayfin Visual Script Builder Manual
No code autonomous hibernate
“No code” means no coding in the traditional method (scripting). Instead, programs are created by connecting predefined coded blocks, a more visual method of programming, where coded blocks, that look like puzzle pieces, are connected together to create an executable program.
Use Rayfin Visual Script Builder to create custom programs, by connecting coded blocks, that tell the Rayfin camera how to function autonomously. Example: You may want the Rayfin camera to “wake up” and record 5 minutes of video and take 10 still images every hour, then “hibernate” for 55 minutes, and repeat over a 24-hour period.

Storage - External / Internal
You can now choose between storing RDI, Stills and Recordings on a DVR+O / SCI PC drive or directly on the Rayfin camera.
Set Storage to External to save RDI, Stills and Recording files in a folder on the DVR+O / SCI PC or NAS connected drive.
Set Storage to Internal to save RDI, Stills and Recording files in a folder on the Rayfin Camera.
When you have selected Internal (Rayfin) storage, you’ll see Internal Recording indicated when you view Menu → Recording

When you have Topside (DVR+O) storage selected, you’ll see Recording indicated when you view Menu → Recording

Open a browser, and enter the IP Address of the Rayfin camera, plus port 8080 and path /api/files/wlist/DCIM to access saved images and recordings.

Menu → Still Settings → Image Format
You can now select to take RAW format images when storage mode is set to Internal (Rayfin) storage.

Expansion Board Controls
We’ve added new Expansion Board Control API Commands. See API Calls - Version 4.2 → ExpansionBoardController
Expansion Boards are an optional Rayfin camera feature. When your Rayfin camera has an Expansion Board, when you connect the Rayfin to DVR+O / SCI Channel and select Menu → Rayfin Aux Devices, you will see Aux [0-3] as shown in the image on the left.

Speed Test
Menu → Channel Info → Rayfin Details
Opens a browser to an application to test the Rayfin Camera Download / Upload speed.

For Rayfin Camera Only
Time & Locale
We’ve added a new Menu → Time & Locale feature to Configure Time Zone and Configure Date / Time on the Rayfin Camera.
