SubC ReviewStudio

SubC ReviewStudio is a DVR+ companion application designed to review and enrich your Inspections and generate logs.

This page provides an overview on how to create an Inspection Project in DVR+ Eventing and then open that Project in SubC ReviewStudio.

SubC ReviewStudio can be installed on the same system as DVR+ or on another system.

  • When ReviewStudio is installed on another system, copy the DVR+ Eventing session Inspection Projects from the DVR+ system to the ReviewStudio host system.

First, you must create an Inspection Project in DVR+ using Eventing

  1. Configure Channel(s) in DVR+ UI in Priority Mode, then switch to Grid/Sync Mode

Open Grid Folder/Filename Settings

Select Storage Mode Topside (PC) - Required

Populate the Inspection Folder/Filename fields

Project Details - Open Show Project Details

Populate these fields as per your Project.

Click on this Show Events button on the right to open the Evening UI

Select Flattened or Categorized Event mode.
These modes are described below.

When in Flattened mode, start Recording and the Events will appear in a column on the Right.

Click on an Event to log it.

“Event logged - [with the Category & Event Name]” appears at the bottom.

When in Categorized mode, the Events Radial Wheel will appear in the center.

  1. Right Click to make the Events Radial Wheel appear.

  2. Left Click to elect a Category & Event from the wheel

  3. Event is populated

  4. Events Radial Wheel disappears.

  5. Right Click again to make the Events Radial Wheel appear again to capture the next event.
    Repeat the above steps to capture your Events.

As you interact with the Events Radial Wheel the events that you acknowledge will appear in the column on the Right.

When the wheel appears, an Event placeholder is logged

When you select a Category and Event, for example, Anomaly & Corrosion, the Event placeholder is populated.

Once you stop Recording (in either Flattened or Category mode) the Categories & Events that you logged will appear on the Right.

You can start recording again and repeat this process to log more Events for this Project as often as your wish.

Next, we will proceed to opening the Project into SubC ReviewStudio.

Open SubC ReviewStudio

Open Existing Project

Select the Project Folder and its projects.sprod file and click Open.

Project Details will appear. You can edit these details here if you wish.

Click Continue to Review button

Your Project will open in the Review tab.

Use the Video Play and Pause buttons on the left to review your project video.

Video Time / Duration is displayed on the right.

The Events that your captured in your Project in Eventing UI in DVR+ appear in the Event Log column on the right.

Click on the Events and you’ll see the “scrubber button” jump to the time position within the Project Video where/when that Event was captured.

A video scrubber button is a control that allows users to seek to any time position within a video.

Below Event Log on the right, are the Logs selection button and Generate Log button.

Select one of the Inspection | Video | Photo | Event | Data Log and click Generate Log button to generate that log file.

A Save Log window will appear and prompt you to save the selected Log File name: (i.e. Inspection Log.xlsx) and Save as Type: Excel files (*.xlsx) and click Save.

Open the Logs in Excel to view the details.
