Getting Started
Record
SubC Imaging’s Digital Video Recorder (DVR) is an advanced media management solution capable of recording HD/SD video channels plus audio feeds and taking video frame still shots.
SubC DVR+O / SCI software comes installed on SubC DVR systems. Alternatively, you can install SubC’s DVR+O / SCI software on a system (with Microsoft Windows OS) with local or network drive storage or another DVR system connected. See Recording for details.
Overlay
The Overlay feature included with SubC DVR+O /SCI is an advanced, dynamic graphical element that allows you to place Text, Recording Timer, Date/Time, Logo, Shapes, and incoming Data such as depth, altimeter, and heading with the video. Each video, (with or without Overlay applied) can be output on its own channel as a composite or HD-SDI video for easy transmission.
Overlay data and video settings are continually saved as they are created in C:\SubC DVR+O v7\Settings\Overlay [1-6] files (DVR+O [1-6] corresponding to each input channel / SCI has 1 input channel) as a safeguard to preserve your work during unexpected events, such as network, communications, or power outage and will reload when the DVR+O / SCI application reopens.
Overlays are also intended to be saved as templates. SubC recommends saving your overlay templates in another system folder to be reused by loading them into new video inputs.
Blackbox
Blackbox is a feature included with SubC DVR+O / SCI that allows you to capture a backup copy of an initialized video channel. The Blackbox can be configured with a maximum amount of disk space that it will not exceed. The oldest video files will be deleted as new ones are created when the allocated disk space becomes near full. See Media Capture Wizard or Menu → Blackbox Settings for Blackbox configuration.
Inspect
SubC Inspector is a companion software application that comes bundled with the SubC DVR+O / SCI application. The SubC Inspector is a desktop client application that connects to the DVR+O / SCI application over the HTTP protocol to allow for remote control operations such as inspections/surveys, dive planning and event logging.
Rayfin
Rayfin cameras, connected to your network, are autodetected and displayed in a list for easy selection and connection. You can remotely interact with and adjust your Rayfin Cameras using Rayfin Controls presented in the DVR+O/ SCI user interface.
Stream
SubC Imaging’s Real-Time Streaming Solution is an optional additional product that can integrate with the SubC DVR+O / SCI. SubC Streaming allows source video to be streamed live over an internet connection and is then accessible anywhere in the world.
