Capture Card

Capture Card Input

A Capture Card is a device that is installed inside a system and is used to directly connect to another device (such as a camera) via a cable (i.e. HDMI) to feed in that device’s video output and/or images into the system.

SubC DVR systems come equipped with DeckLink and/or Osprey Capture Cards.

  • If Blackmagic Decklink Capture Card is installed on your system, you can also check the card details by opening Blackmagic Desktop Video Setup from the Windows Start Menu

  • If Osprey Capture Card is installed on your system, you can also check the card details by opening Osprey Config from the Windows Start Menu.

Capture Card configuration window.

  1. Back – Return to the Input screen.

  2. Video → Capture device – Drop-down field shows connected capture cards installed on your computer.

  3. Video → Input – Drop-down field shows a list of input options available on the selected Capture card.

  4. Video → Format – Drop-down field shows a list of video formats available on the selected Capture card.

  5. Start – Start the Capture Card input video feed.
