Rayfin Video Quality

Select Menu → Rayfin Video Quality

Rayfin Video Quality feature is only available on Channels where a Rayfin is selected as a Channel Input.

Rayfin Video Quality pertains to the quality of the video streaming from the Rayfin Camera to the DVR+O / SCI Channel.

Rayfin cameras encoded video streams with H.265 by default in v7.7.0. As of v7.7.1 this encoder is now selectable. With H265 users can get better video quality at the same bitrate for a higher quality inspection.

  1. Buffer - Displays seconds of video preloaded

  2. Presets - Click Low, Medium, High or Ultra to quickly set the following Resolution values and Bitrates.

  • Low - 720x480 @ 1000 kbit/s

  • Medium - 1280x720 @ 5000 kbit/s

  • High - 1920x1080 @ 10000 knits/s

  • Ultra - 3840/21600 @ 25000 kbits/s

    • 4K Resolution

    • The Rayfin is now able to output live, low latency 4K, enabling the highest quality video inspections.

You can also select other Resolution values and Bitrates.

  1. Resolution using the drop-down filed select options: 640x480 | 720x480 | 1280x1080 | 1920x1080 | 3840x2160

  2. Bitrate using the slide button to adapt to your network bandwidth.

  3. Encoder - Selectable H.264 or H.265 encoding for the Rayfin camera output stream

  4. Decoder - Options: Quicksync, CPU or Nvidia*

    1. Nvidia option will only appear if the system has Nvidia Video Card installed. This option allows for GPU accelerated decoding and reduces the CPU load allowing your PC to stay more responsive and do more tasks simultaneously.

  5. Low Latency Mode - This reduces latency from the camera by preventing the computer from building up buffered video.

  6. Click the “Set Video Quality” button to apply.

If you select Resolution 640x480 and then notice the video appears somewhat squeezed - Click away from the Menu, disconnect from camera and then reconnect to the camera again. This will resolve the video quality while still retaining the 640x480 Resolution.
